Yoga Newsletter - September
This Summer has been creative, thought provoking and challenging. I've realised that when life throws you a curve ball, it may be just the motivation you need! In this case, I've been busy, pulling together a really exciting team and creating a brand new, 200+ hour accredited and certified teacher training course. I'm particularly honoured and delighted that two of the greatest teachers currently working have agreed to join me, making this one of the most in-depth and intelligent courses currently available.
Intelligent Yoga Teacher Training
The course has been created to be immersive and cohesive, with each module building gradually from the last, so that trainees leave as confident and knowledgeable teachers. Together, we'll focus strongly on developing a clear understanding of movement and anatomy fundamentals. Catherine Annisand Tanya Love will lead the course and will be joined by renowned teachers, Peter Blackaby and Gary Carter, offering one of the most comprehensive groundings in anatomy of any teacher training course in the UK.
You will learn:
- To develop a strong self-practice as the foundation for teaching
- Practical anatomy & physiology, including the latest research on fascia
- To adapt postures for students with differing abilities and experience; how to identify postural issues and prevent injury
- Teaching skills: demonstration; sequencing; class organisation and lesson planning; body reading and applying respectful adjustments
- Safe and sustainable movement and alignment principles
- Essential prāṇāyāma, meditation, breath awareness and restorative yoga
- Philosophy and the place of yoga in the modern world
- Ethics and responsibilities of yoga teachers
- Business skills and marketing
There will be 18 students maximum. The course is accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals, and begins in September 2018, with successful trainees graduating in March 2020.
Price from £4,245.

Last two yoga retreat places for sunny Spain
Santillan: 7-14 October .... from £850
I'm delighted to announce that I've found a stunning new venue for my annual retreat. This year, for our week of unwinding and letting go, we'll be visiting Santillan, a glorious yoga centre with probably the finest yoga space in Europe.
Accommodation is luxurious and spacious, and all rooms have ensuite bathrooms. Nestled in the hills above Malaga, Santillan is approx. 30 mins from the airport, and flights are crazy cheap (from around £50 if you book now!).
There are now just a couple of places remaining, so for more info, and to book, go here.
Yoga retreat to India!
Cherai Beach, 5-13 February .... from £899
Would you like to catch some serious sunshine and avoid the British winter, whilst benefiting from some extra yoga beside the balmy Arabian Sea? If so, make this the year you join me for my exotic India yoga retreat in Kerala, on the Malabar Coast. Numbers are strictly limited, so make sure you don't miss out.
Whether this is your first visit to India or you're an old hand, this is the perfect place for some fun, exploration, and serious unwinding. There are optional temple tour add-ons available, and the venue itself is glorious – right beside the sea, with good swimming, and super helpful staff who go out of their way to look after us.
